• The First Results of the GlocalMap Survey

Carried out by GIS-CIST in partnership with UMR Géographie-cités and UMR IDEES, the GlocalMap survey aims to provide a first snapshot of the status of the French populations’ perceptions of relevant territorial levels.

  • Upgraded version of the Mobiliscope

A new version of the tool went online on April 8, 2021. 26 French metropolitan and overseas areas were added to the 23 French and the 6 Quebec city regions already present.

The Géographie-cités laboratory is a mixed unit. Alongside the CNRS it is co-supervised by three other institutions: Panthéon-Sorbonne University, University of Paris (formerly Paris Diderot), and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales.
The lab brings together over sixty professor-researchers, researchers, engineers, technicians, and approximately eighty doctoral students to conduct research that combines theoretical and epistemological analysis, quantitative and qualitative methods, empirical work, and a comparative approach. Based on this framework, each of the UMR’s three teams (CRIA, EGHO and PARIS) develops its own research themes.
