Digital Communication

The Digital Communications Working Group (DCWG) plays a key role in promoting the activities, research, and productions of the UMR Géographie-cités. Its main objective is to develop and coordinate the UMR’s digital communications, creating synergy between various channels and tools to maximize the visibility of scientific work and facilitate exchanges between researchers, partners, and the wider public.
Composition
The DCWG is composed of the following statutory members:

Principal Missions of DCWG
1. Editorial policy for digital media
– ensure that the website conveys UMR news—publications, cartographic work, research projects, events, etc.
– develop the dissemination of this news via the UMR’s accounts on social networks (LinkedIn, Bluesky) and its monthly electronic newsletter
– promote scientific events (symposia, seminars, etc.) organized or participated in by the
UMR
– publicize the views of UMR members via digital media (podcasts, videos, forums, etc.) • publicize the discourse of UMR members via digital media (podcasts, videos, forums, etc.)
– promote the audiovisual productions of the Géographie-cinés Working Group.
2. Internal and External Communication
– ensure an improved flow of information within the UMR (between teams, researchers, PhD students, etc.)
– inform UMR members so they can be active contributors on social media platforms
– strengthen interactions with partners and institutions by sharing scientific content and promoting members’ activities, notably via the monthly newsletter.
