Diego Arango LopezDiego Arango López, research professor in history and geography at the Universidad Católica del Maule in Talca (Chile), is currently hosted by the Géographie-Cités laboratory, thanks to the Directeurs d’Études Associés program of the Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme.
He is currently developing a research project entitled Territoires du feu. Fires in the urban history of Latin America. This project proposes to move towards a general renovation of the history and geography of fire in and from Latin American cities, in dialogue with French research, to achieve a better understanding of urban history and the relationship with fire in Latin American territories.
Diego Arango López is the author of a doctoral thesis in Urban Studies defended in 2015 as part of the École doctorale de l’École des hautes études en sciences sociales: “Villes capitales en projet : histoire comparative de l’urbanisme moderne : Bogota Buenos Aires. 1920-1955 “.
