Following the 3 past editions of the eX Modelo summer school held from 2019 to 2021, the organising team is glad to announce that the school is coming back in a condensed setting.

The eX Modelo Workshop will be a 2 days research workshop dedicated to the exploration of simulation models (sensitivity analysis, calibration, validation, etc.) that will be held on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th November, 2023 at the Complex Systems Institute in Paris.

This teaching workshop is open to postgraduate students, engineers, academic researchers and companies interested in modelling and simulation, whatever their scientific field. The objective is to teach participants to become autonomous in exploring and validating their models.

The workshop will be led by a team of researchers with a recognised expertise in these interdisciplinary practices.

During these two days, you will discover step by step advanced methods for model exploration.

There will be theoretical courses as well as practical sessions to run these methods with various simulation models and programming languages.

The OpenMOLE platform (https://openmole.org), specially dedicated to the exploration of simulation models, will be used throughout the workshop for practical sessions.

Should you be able and interested to stay one more day at ISC-PIF, some OpenMOLE technical support to work with your own model can be provided on Wednesday 15th by the organising team : Romain Reuillon (Géographie-cités – ISC), Mathieu Leclaire (Géographie-cités – ISC), Paul Chapron (LASTIG) and Juste Raimbault (LASTIG/Géographie-cités).

Important dates:

Applications before: September 8th, 2023
Shortlisting and notification of acceptance: October 4th, 2023
Participation in the workshop: November 13th and 14th, 2023
