Gábor Sonkoly, Professor at the EHESS (France) and member of Géographie-cités research unit,(France), will be on an official academic mission this June at the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of São Paulo (IEA – USP).

He will deliver lectures on June 1, 3, 11, and 15, focusing on the following topics:

01/06 – A History of Urban Heritage in Europe
03/06 – Cultural Heritage Regimes and Authenticity
11/06 – Reconstruction of Historic Centres in Central Europe
15/06 – Heritage as an Instrument of Soft Power

Gabot SonkolyGabor Sonkoly is internationally recognized as a specialist in urban heritage and the critical history of cultural heritage. Author of *Historic Urban Landscape* (2017) and *Urban Heritage in Europe* (2023), he has published 14 books in five languages and participated in more than 140 international conferences.
Since 2020, he has chaired the European Commission’s European Heritage Label Panel.
