The 3rd edition of the Geography of Health Meetings will take place from May 26 to 29, 2022 on the island of Sainte Marguerite, one of the two Lérins Islands, off Cannes.
The Geography of Health renews the geographical discipline. On the one hand, it questions the strong imprint that space has on health, such as its capacity to induce or reduce pathologies. On the other hand, it is necessary to develop specific and plural methodologies to capture these spatial phenomena and better analyze them. The Rencontres de Géographie de la Santé is an opportunity for the community to come together by relying on existing networks: The Health Commission of the French National Committee of Geography (CNFG), the Health and Territories axis of the International College of Territorial Sciences (CIST), and the Francophone Journal on Health and Territories. They are open to all people interested in the links between space and health, whatever their profile: “young” researchers as well as confirmed ones, master students, doctoral students, post-doctoral students, institutional actors, associations, elected officials, members of civil society, etc. and their disciplinary background: human and social sciences, medicine, chemistry, biology, epigenetics, mathematics…
